I will talk about how I form ideas from drawing, patterns, my environment, and the process of making itself. Basic pattern making and the use of these patterns will start of the general information on slab construction moving into more complex combination of patterned pieces joined with slabs shaped over simple bisque molds. These hand build sections will then be combined with thrown and altered pieces. This workshop will offer many different examples of building with clay in which both the hand builder and wheel thrower may enrich their knowledge. www.debspottery.com For more information call 575-7704334  ~ www.taosclay.com

Please join us as Jock Soto, former New York City Ballet dancer and current instructor at the School of American Ballet, will visit the Enchanted Circle Gateway Museum to offer a screening of "Water Flowing Together."  The film will be followed by a Q&A by Mr. Soto.  "Water Flowing Together" explores Soto's performance life and his struggle to reconnect with his Navajo and Puerto Rican roots.  The poignant, revealing and emotive film poses challenging questions about culture, race and family ties.  Its message, however, is clear and inspiring - dreams can come true!  Saturday, August 28 at 6:00 pm.  $10 RSVP Limited Seating
