James Franco stars as
the young Allen Ginsberg -- poet, counter-culture adventurer, and chronicler of
the Beat Generation. In his famously confessional, leave-nothing-out style,
Ginsberg recounts the road trips, love affairs, and search for personal
liberation that led to the most timeless and electrifying work of his career:
the poem 'HOWL'.
'HOWL' is
simultaneously a portrait of a renegade artist breaking down barriers to find
love and redemption, and an imaginative ride through a prophetic masterpiece
that rocked a generation and was heard around the world.

All-ages welcome!
ladydjs.com in collaboration with The Penasco Theatre, wisefoolnm.org,
festivalchannel.com present: Friday November 19th, marks the beginning of a six
part, six month series of dance and music events at Northern New Mexico's
historic Penasco Theatre, The House of God: music, love, unity. Guests are
invited to partake in a night of aerial acrobats, dynamic visuals, DJs, and
hip-rocking music for all-ages. With so many community members and close
friends passing this year in Taos, a high-percentage of them being young
people, the need for regular and positive outlets for all-ages is apparent.
We're fostering a Northern New Mexico sanctuary',
where people can connect through music and creative expression - a place to
release fears, negativity, and stresses through dance. Festivities kick off at
7 p.m., where families are encouraged to bring the kids and dance. A discounted
door cover of $5 runs for the early birds from 7p-9p, and $10 after 9p.
Children 12 & under are free. Local resident monthly djs include:
Chrystalline & Ryan Leon, Alex Ayzenberg (Spin Cycle Records), San
Francisco, and Oliver Knight. Each month will feature an out of town guest dj -
specifically Jim Montoya for November. Jim knows how to get that dance floor
rockin! Visuals provided by Camayleon.
The festivalchannel.com
will launch - a social network with free membership. The Festival Channel is
the facebook of festivals. Members can post photos, video, blog, events,

Jack Goes Boating is a
tale of love, betrayal, friendship and grace centered around two working-class
New York City couples.
The movie strikes so
many authentic notes about relationships that it's not a romantic comedy, at
least not in the Hollywood sense. The two court the way two adults burned by
betrayal would: cautiously. That's good news for fans of Hoffman, who shows a
sure hand as a director and whose character is as amiable as is he uncertain.
Hoffman's charm has always been his Everyman awkwardness, and he's unafraid to
show Jack's every fear and failing. By Scott Bowles, USA TODAY
Tickets: $6.50 TCA
